Details
If you are a fan of make magazine, if you like to blaze your own trail, and if you would like to be a part of something truly new this is the place to start.
The kickoff meeting of the Homebrew Computer club will have a brief history of the original Homebrew Computer club and what its ideals were and how it got us to where we are today.
The goal of this meetup is to foster new ideas, and start from scratch as much as our skills permit us. There are a few homebrew devices out there already. As the date gets closer if you would like to talk a bit about a hombrew project you are interested in that would be great. I hope for quite a bit of show and tell of actual projects, and a keep the powerpoint to a minimum.
The truth is we have a staggering amount of off the shelf technology compared to what the boys in the 70s have, yet most of todays innovations can be traced back to the same individuals in the beginning. There is room for more than just Microsoft and Apple. Invent your dream computer.
